When scheduling cleanings and exams or other dental procedures, we feel that planning ahead is the best option!
We understand, however, that our patients may not always have the luxury of planning ahead for their dental work. At Oak Family, Cosmetic, and Implant Dentistry, we make it our goal to provide the most convenient and premium dentistry possible, and to help us achieve this goal, we offer our patients same-day dentistry options.
Whether you have a dental emergency or just need to fit a cleaning into your busy schedule, Dr. Ryan Schmidgall and the staff here at Oak Family Dentistry can accommodate you.
If you need to schedule a same-day dental appointment with Dr. Schmidgall, call our office today at 817-375-0400!
We understand that emergencies can happen sometimes, causing a need for you to get in to see the doctor right away. Your child may have fallen during recess at school and lost a tooth. Maybe you bit into a granola bar and cracked a tooth.
Perhaps you just woke up with an unbearable toothache. Whatever the situation, we can help! If you have a damaged tooth or any other type of mouth injury, you shouldn’t have to wait days to see a dentist, and at Oak Family Dentistry, our schedule can accommodate you.
We build extra time into Dr. Schmidgall’s schedule each day for emergency patients, so if something happens to you, call us right away and we will fit you into the schedule that day. We will even provide instructions for handling the emergency at home until you can make it to the office.
Problems with Dental Appliances
Most dental appliances have a shelf life, and occasionally, they fail. A crown may fall out, due to age or a failure of the bonding agent. A filling may come out while you chew a piece of caramel.
While these issues do not necessarily constitute an emergency, nobody wants to walk around with a gap in their smile or a sensitive tooth while they wait days for a dental appointment. Our staff will make an appointment for you to come in the same day, so we can at least provide a temporary fix for your damaged appliance while we wait for a new one.
If you wake up Monday morning with your molar throbbing painfully, you do not want to hear that the dentist can fit you in on Thursday. Nobody wants to suffer through a toothache for several days.
Some dental offices consider toothaches minor inconveniences, and they may have you wait days, or even weeks to see the doctor if they have a busy schedule. Dr. Schmidgall and the staff at Oak Family, Cosmetic, and Implant Dentistry understands that toothaches cause misery and pain, and we do not want you to suffer any longer than necessary.
Call our office at the first sign of a toothache, and we will fit you in the same day. The doctor often finds that a quick, minor procedure will fix the toothache, and he can have you feeling better in no time.
Working with Busy Schedules
We know that many of our patients have very hectic schedules. Some people travel for work, and may only be home five or six days each month. These people may have to travel at a moment’s notice, and they cannot schedule an office visit weeks or months in advance.
Parents know that between work, little Johnny’s marching band practice, Suzzie’s softball game, and dinner and homework, scheduling dental appointments can cause a lot of stress. Some parents may find it very difficult to schedule time off of work and pull the kids out of school for an appointment, when they may have an emergency meeting pop up, or the kids could possibly miss tests or important lessons.
This often leads to the rescheduling of visits, possibly more than once, which can result in the entire family falling behind on their dental maintenance. Our same-day appointments allow patients to fit an appointment in when a spot opens up on their calendar, resulting in less stress for everyone.
We also realize that kids tend to forget things, even the important things, so when Johnny remembers Wednesday morning that he needs a mouth guard for his football game on Friday night, we can get him in immediately and take care of that as well.
If you find yourself with a dental emergency, or have a meeting cancelled, allowing you to fit in a dental appointment, call our office for a same-day appointment, and we will fit you into the schedule as quickly as possible.
