Dr. Ryan Schmidgall

Dr. Ryan Schmidgall is a native North Texan. After attending Texas A&M University as an undergrad student, Dr. Schmidgall graduated from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, one of the top ranked dental schools in the nation, where he received numerous awards. Following dental school, Dr. Schmidgall had the honor and privilege of serving veterans at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Dallas, TX while completing a yearlong residency for advanced training in general dentistry. Dr. Schmidgall gained quality exposure to the treatment of medically compromised patients, as well one-on-one specialist training with the latest technology in restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry.

Dr. Schmidgall believes in lifelong learning and always being on the cutting edge when it comes to the latest techniques, technology, and materials. He frequently attends and learns from the world-renown Spear Institute on various topics of aesthetic and restorative dentistry. In addition, Dr. Schmidgall has studied under the prestigious Dr. David Hornbrook of The Hornbrook Group studying the art of smile design, functional aesthetics, and occlusion. Yearly, Dr. Schmidgall completes 100-150 hours of continuing education.

Dr. Schmidgall’s professional memberships include the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Fort Worth Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Crown Council. Dr. Schmidgall was elected and serves as the New Dentist Chair on the board of the Fort Worth Texas Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Schmidgall has a passion for using the gifts God has given him by serving the underserved and less fortunate. Abroad, Dr. Schmidgall has traveled on several mission trips to Honduras and Guatemala. Locally, Dr. Schmidgall frequently participates in outreach events through the Texas Mission of Mercy and Hope Smiles. Dr. Schmidgall also participates in a national campaign called Smiles for Life which is a campaign that raises money for various children’s organizations through teeth whitening.

In his free time, Dr. Schmidgall enjoys serving in his local church, Watermark Fort Worth, teaching Sunday school and leading men’s discipleship groups, as well as spending quality time with his wife, Michele. They welcomed their first son, Luke, in October of 2018.

In short, Dr. Schmidgall would describe himself as a man of faith, purposed and passionate about using his gifts to serve the community around him.
